CONCORD ó Concord Department of Fire and Life Safety responded to a commercial structure fire at 1051 N.C. Highway 49 S. shortly before 1 p.m. today. Several businesses are located at the property, including Whitley Truck Equipment.
Eight units from Concord Fire and Life Safety with 28 personnel responded to the call, arriving on the scene at 12:51 p.m. Units reported heavy smoke visible en route to the scene. Units are still overhauling the fire scene at this time.
The north side of the building is heavily damaged. The fire is under investigation by the Cabarrus County Fire Marshallís office.
There were no injuries reported.
