Deputies ask for help in series of break-ins

ROCKWELL — Deputies are asking for help in a series of break-ins near Phaniels Church Road.
According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, investigators have been gathering evidence since September after a man broke into Danny Lee Furr’s building in the 300 block of Phaniels Church Road and took more than $30,000 in property.
During another recent break-in, investigators obtained surveillance video of the suspects holding flashlights and removing property, the report said.
According to incident reports, the initial incident happened between Sept. 10 and Sept. 29.
The report listed electric motors, tools and several thousand feet of copper wire taken from the residence.
On Nov. 2, Furr reported that 20 poultry brooders had been taken from the residence. They were valued at $4,000.
