SALISBURY — Deputies found an 18-year-old woman driving a lawn mower while impaired on St. Matthews Church Road Thursday night.
According to a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report, Deputy C. Earnhardt stopped Amie Linthicum at about 10 p.m. when he came upon the lawn mower which was being driven without lights on the road.
While the deputy spoke to Linthicum, a neighbor walked out to the scene and told the officer that the lawn mower was his and had been taken without permission, but he declined to press charges, the report said.
Earnhardt reported that Linthicum, 4485 Goodman Lake Road, had an odor of alcohol and blew a .04 blood alcohol level.
She was charged with misdemeanor driving with a provisional license after consuming and released on a written promise to appear in court.
