A 33-year-old man was arrested early Monday morning after a private warrant led deputies to 12 drug charges.
According to Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, Jeremy Chad Lemly, 4635 Jack Brown Road, was arrested at his home when deputies went to serve a private warrant for communicating threats.
When officers arrived at about 12:20 a.m., the report said, Lemly attempted to flee through the back door of the mobile home, but found Deputy A.C. Goodman waiting at the back door.
The report said Lemly tried to shut the door in the officer’s face, but Goodman forced the door open, pinned Lemly against the wall and placed him under arrest.
Inside the home, the report said, deputies found a container of marijuana, two metal smoking devices with marijuana residue and other drug paraphernalia. Officers also found a pill bottle in the man’s front pocket with two Xanax pills and a snort straw.
Lemly was also wanted on several drug-related charges in Stokes County.
Deputies charged the man with possession of marijuana, possession of controlled prescription pills, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling for keeping and storing drugs and resisting a public officer.
Lemly was also charged with two counts of felony sell and deliver prescription pills, two counts of felony sell and deliver narcotics, failure to appear on a child support charge, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver prescription pills and felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver narcotics.
He will not receive a bond until his first court appearance on Tuesday.
