Salisburyís jayvee football team romped 55-13 against Central Davidson on Thursday.
It was the 12th straight win for the Hornets, dating back to last year, and the 25th straight CCC victory.
Salisbury led 21-6 at halftime.
Jaquez Finger recovered two fumbles and Damek Bratcher had a forced fumble to lead the defense.
A.J. Hill ran for TDs of 22, 57 and 53 yards.
Riley Myers scored on an 18-yard run and threw to Travon Ellis for a 22-yard score and to Ryan Jones for a 30-yard TD.
Tony Krider broke a 63-yard scoring jaunt. Roy Vinson had an 8-yard TD run. Steven Mazur kicked seven PATs.
n A.L. Brownís jayvees turned to their defense in a 21-0 win against Mount Pleasant on Thursday.
Led by Kendall Holmes and Jonathan Cano, the Wonders held the Tigers to minus-2 rushing yards.
Johnny Delahoussaye ran for a touchdown and caught a TD pass for the Wonders (7-0).
Andrew Ramirez threw for a TD and had two key completions to Quenton Gulledge. E.J. Dean rushed for 79 yards and a score.
The Tigers threw for 104 yards and their blitzing defense gave the Wonders some trouble. Brown was limited to 139 rushing yards.
n North Rowan handed Albemarleís jayvees a rare loss, winning 28-21 in Spencer.
North coaches preferred not to cite any individuals and praised a complete team effort.
n East Rowanís jayvees beat North Iredell 27-20 on Thursday.
Sam Wyrick completed touchdown passes of 6 and 30 yards to his twin brother Seth Wyrick.
Sam caught a 33-yard scoring pass from Donte Means.
Tommy Dang scored on a 3-yard run for the Mustangs.
Eastís defense was led by Tyler Lloyd and Jason Shuping. Lloyd had an interception and Shuping blocked a PAT for the Mustangs (4-4, 2-2 NPC).

Livingstoneís menís basketball team was picked to finish fifth in the Southern Division on Thursday at the CIAA Media Day in Charlotte.
Coach James Stinsonís Blue Bears return three starters led by senior forward Greg Henry. Stinson was CIAA Coach of the Year last season.
Shaw and Bowie State were picked as division champs.
Livingstone will open the season on Nov. 11 by hosting the Highway 52 Tournament that will include Catawba, Pfeiffer and Morris.

Livingstoneís Rashida Elbourne has been named to the preseason All-CIAA womenís basketball team.
Elbourne averaged 12.3 points per game last season.
The Blue Bears were picked to finish fifth in the Southern Division at Thursdayís CIAA Media Day at the Charlotte Convention Center.
Shaw and Virginia State was picked as division champs.

Breckin Settlemyer (Carson) had eight kills for Catawba Valley Community College in a 2-3 loss to Wake Tech on Thursday.
n Prep volleyballSalisburyís volleyball team swept Lexington in CCC play on Thursday.
Salisbury improved to 4-4 in the CCC and is headed to the 2A playoffs.
Brielle Blaire had 8 kills for the Hornets. Janaye Hargrave served for 14 points, with six aces.
Katie Canipe served for 12 points.
n Davie lost to Reagan 25-23, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21 in CPC volleyball on Thursday. Heather Kimel had 11 kills for the War Eagles (13-8, 5-3). Clara MacDonell had eight.
n Middle school tennisSoutheastís girls beat West Rowan 8-1. Singles winners for the Patriots were Rachel Gunsch, Maggie Hollar, Brienne Leach, Mackenzie Koontz and Samantha Liddle.
Doubles winners were Menius-Gunsch, Hollar-Leach, and Koontz-Liddle.
n Middle school soccer
Undefeated Sacred Heart finished the regular season with an 8-0 win against St. Johnís of Winston-Salem.
Arun Kelly-Rajan set up Annie Habeeb for the first goal, then scored unassisted for a 2-0 lead.
Justin Boyd found Ceci Cardelle for a 3-0 lead, and Reilly Gokey scored on an assist by Kelly-Rajan to make it 4-0 at the half.
Sacred Heart (11-0) did not slow down in the second half, scoring three goals in five minutes.
Walker Latimer set up a goal by Gokey. Kelly-Rajan scored unassisted and assisted on goal by Pedro Cruz. A Michael Childress goal on a Max Fisher assist ended the scoring.
