A Salisbury man was arrested on Monday after officers were notified that the moped he was driving had been stolen.
According to Salisbury Police, Michael Bost, 150 Drew Circle, was stopped by officers after running a stop sign near the intersection of Grace Church Road and Camp Road at about 11:30 p.m.
When officers ran the moped’s VIN number, they were advised that it had been reported stolen.
After his arrest, Bost told authorities that he had agreed to work on the moped after a friend brought it to him for repairs. As he was test driving the vehicle, Bost said, the brakes stopped working.
Bost was charged with felony receiving or transferring stolen vehicles.
He was given a $2,500 bond and was in jail Tuesday morning.
