A man was in jail on Monday after two 13-year-old girls called deputies and said an uninvited man was walking around in their home.
According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, Anthony Joseph Little, 24, was charged with felony breaking and entering at 1095 Cedar Hill Drive on Friday.
Two teenagers told authorities they watched from inside the home as Little drove his golf cart up and down the road. The teenagers said they hid in their brother’s closet when they saw Little pull into the driveway at about 10:50 a.m.
The 13-year-olds told authorities they heard drawers opening as Little walked “from room to room” in the home, and watched through the crack in the closet as Little opened the door to the bedroom and looked around.
When the man left the home, deputies said, the teenagers called 911. When deputies arrived, Little was sitting on his golfcart in the driveway.
Little, 1005 Cedar Hill Drive, told authorities that he thought it was Saturday and had come to his neighbor’s residence to speak with the owner about buying a gun.
Since being arrested, deputies have also charged Little with two other breaking and entering incidents on nearby Autumn Glenn Drive, along with a felony larceny charge.
Little was given a $50,000 bond and was in jail on Monday.
