SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was arrested Wednesday after a police officer reported seeing him walking down the street with a crack pipe in his hand.
In the Salisbury Police report, Officer D.R. Lancaster said he saw Edward Eugene Sifford, 51, walking down East Council Street at about 5:30 p.m.
The officer noticed Sifford because he had outstanding warrants listed in the NCAWARE database, the report said.
Lancaster got out of his patrol car and, the report said, noticed a crack pipe in Sifford’s hand.
Sifford was arrested on the outstanding warrant and charged with possessing drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $750 bond.
