The Rowan County Democrats will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 in the Commissioners’ Chambers on the second floor of the County Administration Building, 130 W. Innes St.
The Rev. Dr. Paul Lowe, pastor of Shiloh Baptist in Winston-Salem and grassroots Democrat, will speak on pastors/ministers and church congregations and the political process. Pat Cotham, Democratic National Committee Area member, president of the Democratic Women in Mecklenburg County, chair of the Uptown Democratic forum, and Executive Council for the State Democratic Party, will speak on volunteer opportunities for the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte next year. A representative from Rep. Larry Kissell’s office will attend and answer questions.
