SALISBURY — A Rowan County grand jury indicted a teen for first-degree murder in the shooting death of Rigoberto Angeles-Resendiz in late August.
Quamaine Deshawn Patterson, 18, of Salisbury, turned himself in to authorities a day after Angeles-Resendiz was found in his car with a gunshot wound to the head. The grand jury indicted Patterson early last week.
Elementary school students and a bus driver found the victim dead in his car on Foster Lane, off Morlan Park Road.
The car was blocking the road with its doors open and engine still running.
The grand jury indicted several others.
