Brown may have been a slight underdog going to unbeaten 4A Porter Ridge, but no one was expecting the Wonders to get pounded 41-13.
Robinson, the last team in the SPC to break into the win column, wasnít supposed to beat Carson, but it scored the last 13 points to rally past the Cougars, who led 31-20 with nine minutes left.
Ramon Escano ran for 132 yards on just nine carries against Carson, while Darien Williams rushed 12 times for 107.
Brownís defense, punctured for 342 rushing yards by Porter Ridge, will have to try to slow them down. Brown will count on DBs Jamar Clemons and J.P. Lott for big games.
Offensively, the Wonders will rely on dynamic Damien Washington, who has 538 rushing yards on just 39 carries and has scored 10 touchdowns. Brandon Eppinger has thrown for 388 yards.
