Yesterday: Civitan Club

The Granite Quarry Civitan Club, chartered Nov. 2, 1945, will celebrate its 66th birthday Nov. 3. Expected to be on hand is 99-year-old charter member Claude Lyerly, who will turn 100 the next day. Lyerly has remained active in the club throughout its history and continues to attend meetings. In this photograph, taken at the charter meeting, Lyerly stands on the top row, the third man from the left.
