Salisbury Police have identified the man found dead in the wooded area off Old Concord Road on Sept. 4 as Lloyd Lee Plummer Jr., 45, of the streets of Salisbury.
In a press release, Salisbury Police Chief Rory Collins writes that Plummer had a known medical history, “but exposure from the natural elements and climate before the discovery of his body caused significant deterioration and made an official cause of death impossible to determine by the state Medical Examiner’s Office.”
The autopsy did confirm that there were no signs of physical trauma to Plummer’s body or any other signs of foul play involving his death.
The findings of the Medical Examiner’s Office are consistent with the Police Department’s findings on the scene at the time of discovery. Criminal Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators also found no signs of foul play or anything to confirm that Plummer’s death was related to a criminal act.
The police have nothing further at this time.
