SALISBURY ó Rufty-Holmes Senior Center will host a complimentary drop-in luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today for local police, fire and emergency medical personnel. The buffet meal is being catered by Debbie Suggs Catering, and senior center participants are providing homemade desserts.
The senior center has asked people to sponsor the luncheon with $5 donations to help cover the cost of food provided by Suggs, who is donating her labor. Any extra funds raised above costs will be donated to the Rowan County United Way campaign.
