Couple charged with cocaine possession

A Salisbury couple is in jail Thursday after police say they found cocaine in their possession with their two children in the car.
According to a Salisbury Police report, Benjamine and Edith Luna were stopped by police after officers saw suspicious activity in the couple’s red 1994 Volkswagen Jetta.
After stopping the couple, police found that Benjamine Luna, 24, was driving with a revoked license.
Officers searched the car and found .01 ounces of crack cocaine in Edith Luna’s purse.
The couple were both charged with felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor child abuse. Benjamine was also charged with driving with a revoked license.
Edith Luna, 23, of 160 Maplewood Drive, and Benjamine Luna, of 170 Swimmer Lane, were both given a $10,000 bond. They were in jail this morning.
