SALISBURY — A Salisbury man told police he was shot in the face with a BB-gun in a parking lot at about midnight Wednesday.
Kevin Haight contacted authorities after a man pulled out a BB gun and shot him six times in the parking lot of Ivan’s Restaurant, 2024 Old Mocksville Road, according to a Salisbury Police Department report.
The incident may have been related to a family dispute, the report said.
According to police, Haight, 30, had been having trouble with the other man and they stepped into the parking lot to “straighten things out.”
The man then pulled out the weapon and shot Haight twice in the chest, twice in the neck and twice in the face. One of the shots was directly to Haight’s throat.
Police said emergency medical responders removed the pellets. According to the report, Haight was covered in blood and the BBs were visible to officers.
Salisbury Police are investigating the incident. No charges had been filed today.
