Man charged in vehicle break-ins

CONCORD — A Faith man is behind bars in connection with a string of vehicle break-ins in Rowan and Cabarrus counties.
Concord Police arrested William Advier Robles Torres, 23, of 360 Falcon Lane, Wednesday. He has been charged with 22 counts of breaking and entering motor vehicles, 14 counts of felony larceny, seven counts of larceny and larceny of a firearm.
Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Capt. John Sifford said Concord Police recovered stolen property from Torres and upon running the serial numbers through the National Crime Information Center database, discovered some of it was listed in Rowan County.
Concord Police obtained a search warrant for Torres’ home and found several GPS units, cell phones, a black Coach purse, old coins and various other property that is believed to be stolen.
Sifford said Torres is believed to be involved in vehicles break-ins in Rowan County from Aug. 12 to 28.
The incidents took place on Glover Road, Maple Street, Weatherby Drive and Vine Arden Drive.
Torres is being held in the Cabarrus County Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond.
