KANNAPOLIS — The award-winning environmental education film “Living Downstream” will be shown Thursday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Kannapolis Rotary Hall, 211 West Street.
The documentary follows ecologist and cancer survivor Sandra Steingraber, Ph.D., as she travels across North America working to break the silence about cancer and its environmental links.
Hosted by The Optimistic Futurist, Francis Koster Ed. D., the evening will include a panel discussion following the screening. Children are welcome and refreshments will be available for purchase. There is no charge for the event, although donations will be accepted.
The film and discussion series will continue throughout the fall. Upcoming dates are Oct. 13 and 27, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8. For more information call 904-616-8024.
