Recycling night Saturday at Intimidators

The city of Kannapolis presents Recycling Night at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium this Saturday. The Kannapolis Intimidators take on the Greensboro Grasshoppers at 7:05 p.m. with recycling contests and Kannapolis Recycles giveaways throughout the evening with fireworks after the game.
The Kannapolis Environmental Stewardship Commission will be on hand to answer questions about the new curbside recycling program and sustainability initiatives. The N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources Recycle Guy is scheduled to make a special appearance with the Intimidator’s fun-loving Tim E. Gator.
Recycling will be the theme for the evening’s fan games on the field. Throughout the game, prizes will be given to those who can answer recycling questions. Residents who received yellow recycling schedule magnets can turn them in at the gate for free admission to the game.
For more information and to purchase tickets, go to www.intimidatorsbaseball.com or call the box office at 704-932-3267.
