Schools severe weather policy

During extremely bad weather or other emergency situations, it sometimes becomes necessary for a decision to be made concerning the closing of schools.
When a decision is made in the late afternoon or early morning that schools will not open for the day, it must be relayed quickly to all students and parents. In order to accomplish this task efficiently, cooperation is requested by following these procedures:
The radio stations in Salisbury, WSAT, 1280, WSTP, 1490 and WRDX-FM, 106.5 will be the first to get this information.
As with any other business or enterprise, our first intention will be to operate as scheduled. Any action taken will always be taken in good faith and it is impossible to make a decision that would be convenient or agreeable to everyone. The school system asks for cooperation and understanding when inclement weather requires the delay or closing of school.
Listen to one of the following radio or television stations in the late afternoon or early morning.
