Police: Man returns merchandise he didn't own

SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was charged Tuesday with taking bedding sets from a local Kohl’s and returning them for refunds.
According to a Salisbury Police report, Kenneth Michael Kirkman, 313 Mildred Ave., was charged with going into Kohl’s on Klumac Road twice on Monday and asking for refunds for the retail store’s property.
The report said the 47-year-old went into Kohl’s at about 10:30 a.m., took bedskirts from the store’s shelves and asked for a refund at the customer service desk.
Security cameras also caught the man as he entered again at about 2:30 p.m. as he returned and asked for a refund for bedsheets.
He was charged with two counts of felony obtaining property by false pretenses. He was given a $1,000 bond and was in jail Wednesday morning.
