Disposition of cases heard the week of July 5, 2011, in Rowan Superior Trial Court by Judge Kevin Bridges:
Driving while impaired ń Terry Brown, defendantís motion for mistrial granted.
Felony failure to register as sex offender ń George John Golliver, also felony malicious conduct by prisoner, 25-30 months, jail credit, pay court cost, comply with sex offender registry requirements upon release.
Felony trafficking in cocaine ń Gregory Jerome Phillips, 35-42 months, jail credit, pay court cost, $50,000 fine, $600 SBI lab fees and $750 court-appointed attorney fee, all to be docketed as civil judgment, DART program, provide DNA sample, drugs and contraband seized to be destroyed, money seized to be forfeited to school board.
Fleeing/eluding arrest with motor vehicle ń James Edward Shepherd, also reckless driving to endanger, trial by jury, 45 days, suspended, 12 months supervised probation, pay court cost and $200 fine, surrender license and not operate a motor vehicle for one year or until relicensed by Department of Motor Vehicles, whichever is later, perform 24 hours community service work and pay fee, may transfer to unsupervised probation when in full compliance.
