EAST SPENCER ó The Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Association Womenís Auxiliary will sponsor a free school supply giveaway on Saturday, Aug. 13.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., or until supplies are gone.
The event will be held at The Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Association Convention Center, 308 Boundary St.
Supplies will be given away on a first come, first served basis. One package of supplies per student, and students must be present to receive the supplies.
Churches that make up the Guiding Light Association are Henderson Grove Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church both of Salisbury, St. Joseph Baptist Church of Statesville, United Baptist Church of Kannapolis and Shiloh Baptist Church of Concord.
The Rev. John Jones is the Moderator for the Association.
