ěUntil the Whole World Hearsî is the theme of the Saturday-Sunday, July 23-24 missions conference at Maranatha Bible Church, beginning today with a cookout at 6 p.m. with hamburgers, hot dogs and corn provided.
A combined adult Sunday school class Sunday at 9 a.m. features a report on the West Rowan Bible Teaching Association by board member Jeff Warner and a childrenís church program led by Nathaniel and Gwyn Holliman of Child Evangelism Fellowship.
At the 10 a.m. Sunday service the keynote presentation is by former members Dwayne and Rhonda Emberson of Wycliffe Bible Translators, currently involved in information technology and childrenís ministries, followed by a spaghetti dinner with donations accepted to benefit the Christian Motorcyclist Association.
Afternoon worship features music by the Maranatha praise team, a report by youth director Brian Hancock on the teensí upcoming missions trip to Washington, DC, and a challenge by Dr. Ken Baker, veteran church planter in West Africa and current director of SIMís ěCultural ConneXion,î training congregations in intercultural relationships and mission engagement.

Concordia Lutheran
CHINA GROVE ó On Sunday, July 24, Concordia will recognize and bless the volunteers of the Concordia Lunch Bunch ministry at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. worship services. Concordia member and South Rowan High School student Bubba McLaughlin will be offering a solo at both services.
The Lunch Bunch is a ministry to community seniors who gather weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for lunch at 12:30 p.m. followed by exercise, opportunities for Bible study, presentations on health, games and other activities during the week.
Coordinated by Shirley Allen, Concordiaís Faith Community Nurse, this program began in October 2010 with a grant from the Cannon Foundation. Volunteers cook and serve meals so that seniors may enjoy fellowship and heart-healthy nutrition on-site.

Pine Ridge
CHINA GROVE ó On Sunday, July 24, Pine Ridge will host the Albemarle musical group 4-Ever 4-Given, who will sing beginning at 10 a.m.
At 11 am. pastor George Bradshaw will speak, followed by lunch in the fellowship hall.
The church is located on Old Linn Road between Daughtery and Pine Ridge.

Cleveland 1st Baptist
CLEVELAND ó Guest speaker at the 10:30 a.m. worship hour Sunday, July 24, will be Kestler Ruth of Statesville, a student at Fruitland Baptist Institute. Sunday School will be at 9:30. There will be no evening worship.

Shady Grove Baptist
EAST SPENCER ó Shady Grove Baptist Church will celebrate Womenís Day at the 11 a.m. service, Sunday, July 24, with special guest minister Darlana Harris of Raleigh and her congregation.
Fairview Heights
Revival services will be held at Fairview Heights Baptist Church July 24-29, beginning with the 11 a.m. service. The Rev. Clarence Marlin will speak, with dinner served following the service.
On Sunday at 3 p.m. the Rev. David Bracken of Jerusalem Baptist Church of East Spencer is the guest speaker; Monday-Friday Dr. C. L. Phelps of Gethsemane Baptist Church of Salisbury speaks at 7 p.m. nightly. The Rev. Clarence Marlin is host pastor.
Jerusalem Baptist
SPENCER ó Jerusalem Baptist Church will celebrate Senior Citizenís Day on Sunday, July 24 at the 11 a.m. service. Guest speaker is the Rev. Sally Johnson, associate pastor of Shiloh Baptist of Reidsville.

New Gilead Reformed
CONCORD ó On Sunday, July 24, the Rev. Ken Clapp, chaplain of Catawba College, will preach at New Gilead Reformed Church, 2400 Old Salisbury Road, at the 11 a.m. service.
Jeff Richards, pastor of New Gilead, will be preaching and teaching in the Yucatan, mainly in Merida and Cenotillo, about 80 miles east, not far from Chichen Itza.
Southern City Church
EAST SPENCER ó Southern City Tabernacle AME Zion Church, 940 S. Long St., will celebrate homecoming with Family and Friends Day on Sunday, July 24. The Rev. Thomas D. Lee, pastor of Southern City, will deliver the 11 a.m. message. The Rev. Kirk Reid, pastor of New Hope AME Zion Church of Spencer, will deliver the 3 p.m. homecoming message. Lunch will be served after the morning service.
Revival speaker for the week of Monday through Thursday, July 25-28 at 7 p.m., is the Rev. Dr. William M. Jordan III, pastor of Rockwell AME Zion Church, Charlotte.
Trinity turns 144
Trinity Presbyterian Church, 300 S. Caldwell St., will celebrate its 144th anniversary on Sunday, July 24 at the 11 a.m. service with guest speaker Graham E. Watt, Ph.D.
Dr. Watt, after having spend 14 years in the area of higher education, is currently Director of Administrative Services for the Division of Workforce Development under the NC Dept. of Commerce, and is a lay minister in the Presbyterian Church.
Over the past 30 years he has served as motivational speaker, visiting professor, guest lecturer and keynote speaker for churches, colleges, universities and other community and professional organizations.
The Rev. Olen Bruner is pastor of Trinity.
First Calvaryís 145th
First Calvary Baptist Church, 400 S. Long St., will observe its 145th year at the annual homecoming observance on Sunday, July 24. Sunday School will convene at 9:45 a.m.
Pastor Rev. Leamon E. Brown will deliver the message at the 11 a.m. worship service. The Mass Choir, directed by Mrs. Winnell Short, will minister through music.
The Rev. Carolyn Bratton and members of Mooreís Chapel AME Zion Church of Salisbury will provide the message and music at a 3 p.m. service.
Smith Chapel
The annual revival at Smith Chapel Apostolic Holiness Church, Amity Hill community, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday July 25-29. Bishop Derek Kelly, pastor of New Faith Full Gospel Fellowship Church of Lexington will be the evangelist. Bishop Wayne Brown is host pastor.
Boyden Quarters
