ROCKWELL — A Rockwell man was arrested Sunday afternoon after authorities say he fled from police on his motorcycle.
According to a Magistrate’s office report, a Rockwell police officer attempted to stop Zachary Canup, 24, for speeding on N.C. 152 when he turned around on his motorcycle, shook his head and waved at the officer before speeding away.
He was later arrested when police found him at a friend’s house.
Canup, 904 W. Main St., Rockwell, was charged with felony fleeing to elude. He was given a $5,000 secured bond.
