Unhealthy air expected Thursday

Published 12:00 am Tuesday, June 28, 2011

Thursday and Friday are predicted to be Code Orange air quality days — unhealthy for sensitive groups.
That means children, the elderly and people with asthma and other respiratory diseases or heart disease should limit outdoor activity.
Code Orange days generally occur when there is too much ozone in the air, brought on by high temperatures and high humidity that prevent the dispersal of pollution.
