Burglaries, larceny reported

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at a Mallard Lane residence in Rockwell.
Brandon Michael Rattler reported thieves used pliers and a wrench to break into his home Thursday.
The thief made off with two go-karts valued at $100 each, $20 worth of sheet metal, an aluminum wheel valued at $25 and a $20 car battery.
The sheriff’s office is also investigating:
• A burglary at the 1100 block of Fraley Street in Salisbury on Thursday. Jerry Wayne Yarbrough reported a $200 trimmer and a 12-gauge shotgun valued at $100 stolen.
• A motor vehicle larceny Thursday at the 200 block of Moon Circle in Salisbury. Bill James Aldridge of Salisbury reported a satellite meter valued at $400 and a $200 Echo chainsaw stolen from his Dodge Caravan.
