The bear that spent part of Tuesday night in East Spencer was last seen moving north toward the Yadkin River in woods along Interstate 85, East Spencer Police Chief Floyd said today.
Police followed the bear east on Hall Street and saw him enter the woods around midnight, Baldo said.
“That’s the last time he was seen, and he hasn’t been spotted since,” he said.
Rowan County Telecommunications hasn’t received any more calls about the bear today, said an operator who has been on duty since 6 a.m.
