Report: Salisbury man shoots self in leg

SALISBURY, N.C. — A man accidentally shot himself with a .22 caliber handgun Saturday morning, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Bill Craddock, 72, of 551 Maple Ridge Circle, told responding officers that he’d had the handgun in his pocket and it fell out, hitting the floor and putting a bullet in Craddock’s right calf.
Craddock was transported to Rowan Regional Medical Center to receive medical treatment.
