SALISBURY — Salisbury Police officers were dispatched to the emergency room of Rowan Regional Medical Center early this morning to speak to Mitchell Javon Wood, 30, who said he was taking out his trash late Tuesday when three men came up to him and hit him in the head with revolvers, a report said.
Wood told police the men didn’t rob him, and didn’t say anything to him, just beat him in the head with the guns, the report said.
Police said Wood claimed he didn’t know the men, and the case has been turned over to the criminal investigations department.
Wood was treated for several cuts to his head.
