Fugitive found in Salisbury

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a fugitive wanted in Connecticut.
William Denny, 26, lists his address as 203 Pearl St. in Salisbury. He was found when a deputy with the Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team ran a license tag.
Information from the National Crime Information Center indicated Denny was wanted in Connecticut. The information indicated that the fugitive had violent tendencies and to use extreme caution.
The driver’s license picture provided by another agency showed Denny was driver deputies saw.
Members of the ACE Team conducted a felony traffic stop at Jake Alexander Boulevard and Klumac Road in the parking lot of the BP gas station. The fugitive was taken into custody without incident and will be picked up by Connecticut law enforcement.
Denny was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under no bond.
