SALISBURY ó A husband and wife were charged with misdemeanor child abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia after leaving their 2-year-old child home alone for several hours Saturday, arrest warrants from the Rowan County Sheriffís Office said.
Alexander Troy Goodman, 25, and Brittany Jones Goodman, 21, both of 250 Dunnsview Road, were arrested and each was given $5,000 secured bonds.
According to the warrants, Alexander Goodman was found to be in possession of a plastic plate with cocaine residue, and Brittany Goodman was found with a pipe and a metal container containing marijuana residue.
The pair were ordered to stay away from the home, temporary residence and school of their child, refrain from assaulting, beating, intimidating, stalking, threatening or harming the child, and were ordered to not communicate directly or indirectly with their child.
