SALISBURY – A Salisbury woman faces misdemeanor drug charges after sheriff’s deputies say they found marijuana, hydrocodone and drug paraphenalia during a probation check Wednesday morning.
Deputies from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department reportedly found one gram of marijuana and a smoking device in a plastic bag at the home of Angela Reana Wyrick, 810 S. Zion St., giving them probable cause to do a K-9 search.
During that search, the dog alerted to a dresser drawer where deputies say they found five pills – including hydrocodone – for which Wyrick did not have a prescription.
Wyrick, 29, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of hydrocodone and possession of drug paraphenalia. She was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center and released on a $2,500 bond.
In other Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports for Wednesday:
• Timothy Matthew Carlton, 33, of Salisbury, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of assault on a female.
• Joshua Joel McCrary, 19, of 154 Pembrook Lane in Salisbury, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of non-support of a child and failure to appear.
• George Wayne Bradshaw, of Harrelson Drive in Salisbury, reported the theft of $600 worth of items, $400 of which were recovered, from his vehicle between Sunday evening and Wednesday night.
