SALISBURY – The driver of a van is at Rowan Regional Medical Center for minor injuries after her van’s tire blew, causing her van to veer off of I-85, hit an embankment and flip over onto its roof.
The driver’s name was not immediately available, but N.C. Highway Patrol troopers on scene said her injuries were not serious, and she was able to crawl out of a window.
The accident happened just short of the Spencer exit, in the 7900 block of I-85 in the south-bound lanes.
Traffic was not affected.
