SALISBURY – A Salisbury man pulled over by police for driving without a license received a felony drug charge after the officer noticed a bag of marijuana hanging out of the man’s pants pocket.
Jamal Rashaad Hall, 23, of 711 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Apt. 351, was charged with felony possession of marijuana and given a $2,000 secured bond.
When the officer asked Hall what was hanging from his pocket, Hall “hung his head low,” the report said, and was asked to step out of the car. Found under the driver’s seat was a Crown Royal bag with eight individual bags of marijuana. The total weight of the marijuana found was 21 grams.
The passenger, Hall’s girlfriend, and a small child in the back seat of the car, were able to drive home from the scene.
Hall will make his first appearance in court this morning.
