Sheriff blotter: Man charged over EMS trouble

SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was arrested Wednesday after sheriff’s deputies say he was aggressive with emergency responders trying to help him.
Rowan County EMS responded to a 911 call at 385 Mahaffey Drive in Salisbury where Terry Lee Kesler, 48, had a severe cut in his abdomen. According to the report from the Rowan County Sheriff’s office, he would not cooperate with EMS staff or comply with their requests.
Deputies were called around 1:30 p.m. to assist. When they arrived, Kesler reportedly became aggressive toward the officers and medical responders.
Kesler, of 820 Park Ave. in Salisbury,was arrested and charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer. He was treated in the emergency room of Rowan Regional Medical Center before being taken to the Rowan County Detention Center and given a $2,500 bond.
In other Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports for Wednesday:
• Nathan Scott Wagner, 17, of 645 Joe Lynch Road, was arrested and charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer.
Authorities say he caused a disturbance at East Rowan High School, refused to stop when staff members and the school resource officer asked him to and dared the officer to arrest him. Wagner was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $400 bond.
• Kacey Wayne Adams, 31, of 1330 N.C. Highway 49 in Gold Hill, was arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering a building.
• Emetson Dulan Nance, of Harris Point Road in Salisbury, reported the larceny of a motor vehicle between 6:45 and 7 p.m. March 16. Nance told authorities that his 1965 Ford Mustang ran out of fuel on Interstate 85 near Peeler Road in Salisbury, and his daughter’s ex-boyfriend did not drive the car back to Nance’s home after refueling it.
• Nancy Knoff Duke, of Hannah Ferry Road in Salisbury, reported that someone took a $200 Toro riding lawnmower from her property between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
• Delores A. Wilson-Bowers, of Earnhardt Road in Rockwell, reported that 48 pills of hydrocodone valued at $240 had been taken from her home between Tuesday night and Wednesday night.
