Queen 50th Anniversary

Tony Ray Queen and Judy Ketchie Queen of Salisbury are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, May 8, 2011, at a luncheon being hosted by their children and grandchildren at the home of their daughter, Lisa Queen Sechrest. The Queens were married May 7, 1961, at Trading Ford Baptist Church in Salisbury by the late Rev. Banks Mullis. Tony, son of the late Ray and Lula Queen, was employed with NC Finishing Company, Dominion Yarn, Spartan Express and retired from Rowan-Salisbury Schools. Judy, daughter of the late Oliver and Charleen Ketchie, was employed with Wachovia Bank and retired from Rowan-Salisbury Schools. Their children are Lisa Queen (Chris) Sechrest and Scott Michael (Pam) Queen of Salisbury and Chad Anthony (Melissa) Queen of Randleman. Their eight grandchildren are Amber (Jonathan) Smith, Ashtyn Kepley, Nathan Queen, Sarah Queen, Addison Queen, Laura (Ryan) Gobble, Brian Sechrest and Steven Sechrest; and one on the way.
