Catch of 16 pounds wins at Fishers of Men

Tim Chapman and Chris Carrolle won the Fishers of Men event at Lake Wylie on April 16 and came away with $1,289 as they weighed in 15.88 pounds of bass.
The day included 30 mile-per-hour winds during blast off, and a nasty, windy, rainy day for the anglers.
Second place went to Brad Carpenter and Bryny Shytles with 14.16 pounds worth $598. Third place went to Allen Snyder and Robert Hunter of Charlotte with 13.28 pounds worth $468. Fourth place went to Rodney Cozart and Mitch Drew of Rockwell and they won $400 for their 12.99 pound catch.
Steve and Bradley Singleton of Asheboro remained in the lead for the points champions by placing fifth with 12.82 pounds and $332. Sixth place went to Marty and Dusty Nester of Mt. Airy. Seventh was Eddie Caudill and Frank Denny ($240).
Big fish of the day was a 4.48 pounder caught by the team of Gary Payne and Jeff Easter.
Chapman and Carrolle had the second biggest fish of the day at 3.95 pounds.
The next tournament will be at High Rock Lake on May 14 with weigh-in at Tamarac Marina on Bringle Ferry Road.
