SALISBURY – The man who reportedly shot Bruce Junior Robinson April 24 in the parking area of the Wilco-Hess on East Innes Street turned himself into authorities last night.
Broderick Demon Sullivan, 27, of 825 N. Green St., was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He was given a $10,000 secured bond.
Salisbury Police said Sullivan and Robinson got into an altercation, and Sullivan pulled out a gun and shot Robinson. Robinson was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center and then flown to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He has since been released.
Police said Robinson didn’t know Sullivan, but knew his nickname – “Bubba” – and with that information and a description from witnesses at the scene, investigators were able to develop Sullivan as the suspect.
