SALISBURY — This afternoon the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office plans to arrest a Rowan County man they say ran a moonshine still in his western Rowan home.
During a search of the home, authorities also found a hydroponic marijuana growing operation. They confiscated around 87 ounces of high-quality marijuana.
Authorities said the white liquor was being made with yeast, sugar and charcoal. Wood chips were added after the process to age the liquor.
Manufacturing white liquor is a misdemeanor. Manufacturing marijuana is a felony.
