Carolyn Motley has been identified as the victim in Sunday night’s motorcycle accident on Sherrills Ford Road.
The driver of the SUV towing the trailer Motley hit has been charged with her death.
William Montgomery Sr., of 156 Fairfield Road, Mocksville, has been charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and driving while license revoked. He was given a $10,000 secured bond.
The N.C. Highway Patrol said Montgomery was backing into the driveway of 4905 Sherrills Ford Road when the motorcyclist crashed into the trailer around 8 p.m.
A portion of Sherrills Ford Road was closed for several hours while authorities investigated.
