Senate Bill 8
The bill to lift the cap on charter schools in North Carolina passed the state Senate in February before heading to the House.
House members amended the bill to include provisions to require all charter schools to have at least 50 students and develop a transportation plan.
The bill has passed the second reading in the House and will likely be up for a third reading Monday before it goes back to the Senate.
