CHINA GROVE — A motorist was injured Monday evening in an accident on U.S. 29 at Thom Street.
The driver’s side door of the pickup truck had to be removed to free the driver, who was taken by ambulance to the hospital with a broken right femur and other injuries. The driver of the other car was checked by fire and rescue and was not seriously injured. No passengers were in the vehicles.
China Grove fire, rescue and police personnel were at the scene.
