The Waterworks Visual Arts Center recently held an elementary school art exhibition.
Students in private, independent, home schools and public elementary schools in Rowan County participated.
These exhibitions are an outreach program that celebrates the outstanding efforts of the art specialists who teach the creative process, as well as showcasing the extraordinary talents of Rowan County’s youth.
More than 600 guests recently attended the elementary school reception for students and families.
Waterworks collaborates with the Rowan-Salisbury School System to provide children the opportunity to showcase their artwork in a professional gallery setting. All artwork is selected by the art teachers.
A Rowan-Salisbury Middle School exhibition will be held Saturday through April 21.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
