SALISBURY, NC — The National Weather Service is warning of increased fire danger from noon today to 6 tonight.
Humidity will dip to around 40 percent this afternoon as southwest winds locally gust as high as 25 mph.
In combination with dry fuels, fires may spread quicker than anticipated.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities at http://www.dfr.state.nc.us/burn_permits/burn_standard.asp on whether you can burn today. If you do burn, always use caution since fires can get out of hand under these conditions.
