3Dudes Productions, a partnership between Miller Davis Inc., and Sharp Capital Group, is continuing the ěBrick Street Liveî music series in downtown Salisbury, beginning in April this year.
Six concerts are planned, with three of them on Fisher Street and three at other locations in the city. Two concerts are planned for Saturday nights, with four scheduled for Thursdays.
In 2010, Miller Davis produced six Thursday-night concerts from May through October. Conerts were held at the Lee Street intersection of Fisher Street, which is brick-paved.
The 2011 series includes:
Thursday, April 28: Chairmen of the Board, on Fisher Street.
Thursday, May 26: Seven Bridges, an Eagles tribute band, on Fisher Street.
Thursday, June 23: Frontiers, a Journey tribute band, on Fisher Street.
Thursday, July 21: A1A, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, at Castaways Seafood & Oyster Bar parking lot, 119 N. Link Ave.
Saturday, Aug. 27: Sugar Creek Reunion (location TBA).
Saturday, Oct. 15: Too Much Sylvia, at Castaways Seafood & Oyster Bar parking lot, 119 N. Link Ave.
Gates open at 5 p.m. with the featured entertainment from 7:30 to 9:30. VIP tickets for reserved seating are available for $25 per concert. Tickets may be purchased by calling 704-637-5363 or online at www.brickstreetlive.com. General admission is $5 for each concert except the Sugar Creek Reunion on Saturday, Aug. 27. Admission for this concert will be $20.
Admission to each concert includes a collectible cup good for discounts on beverages at participating restaurants. No coolers will be allowed.
ěThis is an opportunity to bring people to Rowan County and offer them first-class entertainment,î said Mike Miller, president of Miller Davis. ěThe changes made to the schedule this year will offer more flexibility and are a result of requests made last year.î
In 2010, more than 8,000 fans attended the concerts. Brick Street Live has a FaceBook page at www.facebook.com/home.php#!/brickstreetlive.
