Police, sheriff investigate break-ins

Police, sheriff blotter
The Salisbury Police Department is investigating a break-in at a home on West Cemetery Street.
The break-in was reported Saturday. A Toshiba laptop, Whirlpool clothes dryer, DVD player and two televisions were taken from the home, value totaling $1,980.
Other crimes being investigated by the police department and Rowan County Sheriff’s Office:
• A break-in was reported Saturday by the owner of a Miller Street home. A television, dining room table, cabinets and bed comforter were taken, totaling $820. The police department is investigating.
• Two $2,500 Wesco trailers were taken from a field near Marsh Campsite Road between Nov. 25 and March 3, someone reported to the sheriff’s office this weekend. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
• On March 4 a Cleveland woman reported someone took several items from Statesville Boulevard home, including jewelry, prescription pills and antiques, totaling $3,135. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
• A woman living on Teeter Farm Drive in Mooresville reported someone broke into her garage and took a 2008 Nissan Altima, and also damaged a GMC Subaru. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
• A Salisbury man reported a television, Playstation 3, DVD player and DVD movies were taken from his home on Grandeur Drive Friday, Mach 4. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
• Carolina Quarries of Salisbury reported $1,500 worth of large gauge copper wire was taken from the business. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
• A woman living on McGill Street in Kannapolis reported Sunday that someone broke into her home and took a piece of jewelry valued at $5,000. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
