Some streets clear, others still icy

While main roads in town are mostly dry and clear, some secondary roads and side streets have a thicker, shinier coat of ice this morning.
There are patches of black ice along all roads.
Hills, shaded areas, bridges and overpasses remain tricky, with ice in spots. The railroad tracks on North Main Street in Salisbury are coated with ice, though a couple of clear spots have been made by traffic.
Sidewalks in the downtown area are a mixed bag — icy on the shady side, somewhat clearer on the other side.
Although Tuesday was cloudy all day, paved areas that were in the dim light all day seemed to fare better overnight.
Innes and Main streets are much improved over Tuesday’s conditions.
Traffic remained light in the early morning hours.
The temperature at 6:30 a.m. was 25 degrees, with a high of 34 expected. Tonight’s predicted low is 18.
