This year, Cora Greene received $90 for Christmas presents. She doesn’t get to keep it, but it’s for a good cause.
The nurses and staff at Rowan Regional Medical Center’s Women’s and Pediatrics A2C unit gave the contribution this week to the Christmas Happiness Fund in honor of their boss, Cora Greene.
“She’s our director and we did it for her as a Christmas present,” said Peggy Moon, a charge nurse for the A2C unit.
The group made a similar donation in honor of Greene last year for Christmas Happiness.
Moon herself also donates each year to the fund.
She’s donated for the last 15 years.
“It makes sure that children in the county receive some type of Christmas no matter how bad times are,” she said.
