The 38th Annual Cleveland Christmas Parade was held Saturday, and many attended despite the cold, wet weather.
The Cleveland parade is known for its candy, and boy did it deliver this year. Candy and kids filled the streets, and although parade attendees were cold, smiles were plentiful.
Entries in the parade included West Rowan High School, West Rowan Middle School, West Rowan JROTC, John Brindle of the Register of Deeds, Clerk of Court Jeff Barger, the Rowan County Commissioners, candidates for Rowan County Sheriff, various fire departments, churches and Boy Scout troops.
The Cleveland Lions Club sponsored the parade, which started on Krider Street at the former West Rowan YMCA, ending on School Street.
The parade included 65 entries and most were judged in different categories. The winning entries will be listed in a later edition of the Post.
